This month's picture shows some of the spectacular rock formations at Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado Springs.  It's an easy walk from the main parking lot south along the trail loop that takes one right up to these giant spires.  And if you ever visit Colorado, make this a destination.  It is a beautiful place.

You will have four (4) weeks to work on this challenge. Remember to follow the "Rules of the Road" on the right and send me your images as an attachment to your email by September 26, when you also will be able to see what I have in store for you for the October challenge. Welcome to the first challenge of Studio Atelier!

 Here we have a photo in one-point perspective from a spring cross-country ski trip in Colorado's high country.  There are lots of cool shadows and warm evergreens along the snow-covered road.

You will have three weeks to paint your interpretation of Snow Shadows and email it to me.  Make sure you follow the instructions in "Rules of the Road."  Your pictures will be posted within a few days of my receiving them.  The last day to send me your image is February 22.
