The Return is in Sight

It has taken a few YEARS, but Studio Atelier will be re-activated in a couple of months. We have moved from our home of over 30 years and are beginning to settle into our new place. It's going to take several weeks to get my studio set up, and believe me it's long overdue. I can't wait to get warmed up and painting on several pieces that have been in limbo for months.

I hope you are having fun with your art. I'll be back in September.

May 2010 Challenge: Motorcycles

Submittal Deadline:  11:59 pm MDT, June 6, 2010

The sparrows were fun to paint, weren't they?  Congratulations to all of you who completed a painting.

The painting challenge this month will extend through the U.S. Memorial Day weekend, so I am presenting a subject that ties into that.

A few years ago, we found ourselves in the middle of The Rolling Thunder "Ride for Freedom" in Washington, D.C. on Memorial Day, when over 250,000 motorcyclists rode through our Nation's capital.  Click here for more information about the "Ride for Freedom."

The painting challenge for May shows just some of the motorcycles that were parked on the National Mall near the Washington Monument.  I hope you have fun with this.

The deadline to get your submittals to me is 11:59 pm MDT on June 6, 2010.  Remember to follow the "Rules of the Road" on the right.  Thanks to everyone who participates.

Happy painting!
