This month's challenge is a still life of hand carved wooden birds.  These folk art pieces are only a few of the many that were created by my Norwegian great grandfather for his grandchildren.

Paint them all, or just paint one.  Include the reflections, or don't.  Whatever you do, remember to have fun painting these toys that are nearly a century old. 

You will have four (4) weeks to work on this challenge.  Remember to follow the "Rules of the Road" on the right and send me your images as an attachment to your email by May 1, 2011, when you also will be able to see what I have in store for you for the May challenge. I admit it. The fountain challenge was, well, challenging. I'm pleased that so many of you worked on it. Great job, everybody!

Now, on to our next challenge.

It was a cold morning in Florida, and these guys were fluffed up and sitting in the sun to stay warm.
