The Return is in Sight

It has taken a few YEARS, but Studio Atelier will be re-activated in a couple of months. We have moved from our home of over 30 years and are beginning to settle into our new place. It's going to take several weeks to get my studio set up, and believe me it's long overdue. I can't wait to get warmed up and painting on several pieces that have been in limbo for months.

I hope you are having fun with your art. I'll be back in September.

November 2010 Challenge: Apple Harvest

Submittal Deadline:  November 28, 2010
11:59 PM MDT
A 5-Week Challenge

Jenni Twidle

Great job on the median landscape, everyone.  If you don't see your picture up yet, don't worry.  It will be posted by the end of this week.

Now we are on to a still life of apples and their reflections.   The first successful apple harvest for us was this year after growing our trees for twenty years, which tells you something about the fickle nature of Colorado's front range weather.  Never enough moisture, crazy temperature fluctuations, snow or hail storms can all wreak havoc on the crop.  This year, the weather conditions were perfect.

Apple Harvest

You will have five (5) weeks to work on this challenge (extra time for USA Thanksgiving holiday). Remember to follow the "Rules of the Road" on the right and send me your images as an attachment to your email by November 28, when you also will be able to see what I have in store for you for the December challenge (which will be a six week challenge due to holidays). Thanks to everyone who participates.

Happy painting!
